Will you drink?
Standing before their relatives who where to be witnesses to this covenant, the young man poured a glass of wine and handed it to the young woman standing beside him saying, " This is my covenant with you." All waited on the edge of their seats. Would she accept it and drink or would she refuse? The young woman reached out with a grand smile and took the cup from his hands then raised it to her lips and drank. She said yes!
At last the father gives his consent and orders his son away. The groom gathers his groom's-men and sets off for his bride...The shofar echos loud and clear as he blows it upon his arrival. It is he! The groom has come to redeem his bride!
So vowing to be faithful, the groom returns to his father's house. There he would prepare a place for his bride to be not knowing the day nor hour his father would say, "Go. Now is the time. Your task has been completed. Meanwhile, the groom sends his groom's-man to be the intercessor between him and his bride. Though, she has not seen him, her heart knows him well. Becoming more like him everyday. She prepares her garment and herself for his coming with great anticipation.

Are you ready? Am I ready? Have you partaken of the cup of the covenant? Are we preparing your garment for His return? Jesus-the lover of our souls, the groom- offered the cup of the covenant to His disciples saying He was returning to His Father's house to prepare a place for them. He did not know the day nor the hour He would return, but meanwhile He would send His groom's-man, the Holy Spirit, to be as a means of communication between them/us.
He knows our mess. He knows our spots and wrinkles, but He chose us for His glory. He remains faithful;though we grow impatient and seek love that only satisfies for the moment, perishing the next. He remains faithful; though we continue to cheat and lie. He still is faithful.
"His beloved I am. My lover He is. Death will not part us; for me He died for. For better or worse, we shall always be, because His love is what units us and binds me to Him.
