John 12:24-25
“Unless
a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it
dies, it bears much fruit. He who loves his life looses it, and he who hates
his life in this world will keep it to life eternal.” At Calvary, Jesus, as the
Grain of Wheat, died and rose again. And in His resurrection He brought forth
much fruit-us (Rom. 6:5).
"When I come to see my position in Christ
I begin to experience the benefit of all that I am in Him. My daily state is
developed from the source of my eternal standing. More and more the Lord is
showing me that through the exercise of faith, my eternal position (source)
affects my daily condition, but in no way does my condition affect that
heavenly position. When I concentrate on
my condition, I am not living by faith but by feelings and appearances. The
inevitable result is that I become increasingly self-conscious and
self-centered"(thoughts from The Green Letters).
Anna’s primary responsibility is to
pay attention to Jesus… to rest (abide) in Him as her position; if she do not
know of her position in Jesus, and how to abide in Him as her very life, there
will only be one result. She will struggles in her un- Christ-like condition
rather than rest in her Christ-centered position. I think awareness of condition instead of position is the reason for failure
and stagnation.
1 Corinthians 2:5 says, “Your faith should not stand in the
wisdom of men, but in the power of God.”
“Every Christian has been positioned forever in the risen
Lord by spiritual birth, but only the believer who knows, grows. If the
believer is not clearly aware of the facts of our position as stated in the
Word he cannot exercise the necessary faith for growth and service. He can only
seek his resources in the realm of self.
Jesus is our life. When we focus on Him and behold His glory,
we are changed into the same image (2 Cor. 3:18). And “when he shall appear, we
shall be like Him;” Why? “For we shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2).
