My Intercessor

"A mark of Great faith is a prayer that is saturated in appeal to God's authority while acknowledging His character." ~Dr. Lew
Wow...Me of little faith; Oh! how I desire to pray in humility. Not with the focus on my imperfectness, but on the fullness and goodness of my Jesus!
Lately, I haven't found it easy to put into words the part of Himself He has been displaying to me...I stand in awe and many times say with the disciples, "Who are You that even the wind and waves obey You?" I find much comfort in Paul's words to the Romans: "...the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance to God's will."
This is what my heart sings:

You are good, You are good
When there's nothing good in me
You are love, You are love
On display for all to see
You are light, You are light
When the darkness closes in
You are hope, You are hope
You have covered all my sin

You are peace, You are peace

When my fear is crippling
You are true, You are true
Even in my wandering
You are joy, You are joy
You're the reason that I sing
You are life, You are life,
In You death has lost its sting

(refrain)

Oh, I'm running to Your arms,
I'm running to Your arms
The riches of Your love
Will always be enough
Nothing compares to Your embrace
Light of the world forever reign

You are more, You are more

Than my words will ever say
You are Lord, You are Lord
All creation will proclaim
You are here, You are here
In Your presence I'm made whole
You are God, You are God
Of all else I'm letting go

(refrain)

Oh, I'm running to Your arms
I'm running to Your arms
The riches of Your love
Will always be enough
Nothing compares to Your embrace
Light of the world forever reign

(bridge)

My heart will sing
no other Name
Jesus, Jesus
Oh, I'm running to Your arms
I'm running to Your arms
The riches of Your love
Will always be enough
